Drachselsried Badeweiher officially open, see the latest pictures

Drachselsried's open air swimming complex is now officially open. The water is fed by three mountain springs, so is cool and refreshing on a hot summers day. The Drachselsried  Bürgermeister Hans Weininger, opened the facility. About 300 guests attended.

The Bürgermeister from Arnbruck Herman Brandl, "Nordic Walked" with a team of local people. Now Zellertal has an open air pool and an indoor one in Arnbruck.

May 29th is the official opening day for the Drachselsried Naturbadeweiher. Naturally the Buergermeister's from Drachselsried, Hans Weininger and Arnbruck, Herman Brandl will be there, plus other prominent guests.. Proceedings start at 14.00

Easter in Drachselsried

Easter time in the village is a time for dressing up the fountain with greenery and flowers, especially on a beautiful spring morning.

Last Kesselfleisch for this winter 2011

Friday 15th April was a sad day, as it was the last Kesselfleisch evening until next winter. The venue was as always at Norbert Schötter Gasthaus zur Eiche.

Kesselfleisch is boiled pork and served with sauerkraut, raw onions and freshly baked bread and plenty of beer from our village brewer Falterbräu.

We are lucky in that Norbert starts the roast chicken evenings in May, same great beer.

Drachselsried Carnival 2011

The first Drachselsried Carnival for 5 years was held on 12th February. Thank goodness the weather was good.
