In the 1980's, a German car sticker carried the following environmental message. It is as true today as it was then. There is a lot of information on Wikipedia if you are interested. I have modified the image and add the English translation, I acknowledge all copyrights.

litfaßsäule under construction

Litfaßsäule means an advertising column or advertising pillar in German. Many are made from concrete and the newer versions from aluminium and plastic. I am creating an electronic version for my Drachselsried website which will display local events and companies. More information when I have it working.
