Sunday 7th December saw the yearly "Drachselsrieder Weihnachtsmarkt"Christmas Fair take place on a cold and wet day.
Unfortunately there was no snow. Our village Bürgermeister (Mayor) gave a welcoming speech. This festival takes place on the second Sunday in December, and is a social point for all the local people to meet and talk, drink Glühwein. (Hot red or white wine, with herbs and rum).

What a great idea, it brings people together. I wish our village did this.
